Since my Freshman year, the art room is my place to think freely while also being vulnerable to the fact that I don’t have total control over everything I do. While I can plan every last detail of each project, there is a sense of surprise once the sculpting and glazing processes begins. The failures and achievements I’ve faced have made me understand my capability of being an artist, and has ultimately molded the appreciation I have for ceramics throughout my four years.Ever since my Freshman year in Ceramics, the art room is by far my place to think freely and experiment with new art techniques. When I am away from the stress of my academic classes and sports, I know I can create art projects beyond what I could’ve ever imagined. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be in an AP level class, while being challenged I am also receiving the credit for hours of non-stop hard work. I look forward to the rest of the year with my peers all growing into experienced artists.
