The art room has always been my happy place. I feel so lucky to have access to the resources I need to create projects that I could never have imagined I could make. I enjoy challenging myself to think outside the box and to stick with projects even when they fall apart. This environment has impacted me outside the art room as well. Being able to take risks and believe in my abilities has helped me become less introverted and more mindful.
When creating art, it is important to me to reflect a feeling into my work. I want my audience to stop and think about what it means. I tend to be a perfectionist with my work and I want that to show. Art has played a big role in my life and I would like to continue to explore new mediums. I grew up painting flowers with my grandmother, drawing houses with charcoal with my grandfather, and creating comic books with made up characters with my Dad. Continuing to harvest creative thoughts is important to me.
